Filing a Counter Notice

If your content has been removed, do you think it was a mistake? You can send a counter notice. Here is what to include.

  • Point out the content that was taken down and where it used to be on the site.
  • Add a line saying you believe in good faith that it was removed by mistake.
  • Give us your name, address, phone number, and email.
  • Add a line stating that you accept the jurisdiction of the proper court in your area.
  • Add a line saying you will accept contact from the person who filed the first notice.
  • Sign it, physically or electronically.

Once we get a valid counter notice, we pass it on to whoever filed the first complaint. If they do not take it to court within 10 business days, we put the content back.

If someone keeps breaking copyright over and over, we will block their access to the site.
